Gashira Samurai Armor

Original price was: $2,799.99.Current price is: $2,494.95. $2,494.95

The Kiritsuke Kozane Roku-Mai Samurai Armor set is a reproduction of a traditional tosei (post ~1550 modern) design crafted by the Iron Mountain Armory. Roku-Mai Do consist of 6 sections (3 front and 3 back) which are hinged together except for under the right armpit, where it is tied.  If unhinged and tied under the left armpit, it then becomes a Ryo-Hikiawase Roku-Mai-Do, which translates to “pulled together on both sides, six-section cuirass”.  This particular samurai armor set features kiritsuke kozane which is simulated scale plating along an ita-mono (single plate). This style of plating is known as “sane-ita”, or “itazane”, laced together in kebiki-odoshi style lacing (referred to as “full lacing”). Various colors and color patterns are available upon request. Before or after placing your order, you can send us your desired design pattern. Other ita-mono (single plate) and kanagu mawari (solid metal plates) options are available.

This classic Kiritsuke Kozane Roku-Mai Samurai Armor set features the optional simulated 8 ken (section) Hari Bachi kabuto with copper fukurin trim along the edges of the kabuto, Do and O-Sode. Still keeping with tradition, the armorers at the Iron Mountain Armory are happy to customize your armor set to fulfill your custom armor desires.  Let us know what colors, accessories and sizing you would like and we will craft it as you request.
