Description
Ketsueki Mentsu Samurai were fearsome samurai of the Sengoku Era (Warring States Period), who painted their yoroi midnight black and their menpo (facial armor) crimson red, giving them an eerie shadow look with a fearsome blood red face coming at their enemy from the lingering darkness. If this fearsome sight wasn’t enough to make their enemy freeze in fear, their shrieking war cries would as they blindsided the flank of their opposition!
Our apprentice katchû-shi (Japanese armor smith) here at Iron Mountain Armory will work hard to make this terrifying samurai armor set to your dimensions, in honor of these fearsome samurai. The yoroi set features a robust hachi zunari kabuto (helmet) and our popular okegawa Do (chest armor). This yoroi is a replica of what the Ketsueki Mentsu samurai would have worn over 460 years ago.
Our katchû-shi will craft this yoroi from a traditional design but use mostly synthetic materials, relatively modern techniques and tools to create a samurai armor which is a bit more economical. We offer the options to change the style of kabuto (helmet), menpo (mask) and suneate (shin guards). Standard colors of the Ketsueki Mentsu Armor are Black Uzumaki main paint, with Vermilion Menpo and Sode (shoulder armor). It is finished with Black and Red Lacing. We do offer the option to customize this yoroi set however you like, including paints, laces, material and leathers, mustaches styles and more. Also available in Gashira Class.
Features: Kachi Class.
- Variation of paint, nylon odoshi colors and features.
- Full sized and fully functional.
Our skilled katchû-shi (armorers) at the Iron Mountain Armory will need at least 3 to 5 weeks, depending on options selected, and other scheduled orders, for the custom handcrafting of your yoroi. |

I’ve read the post from blog sites about buying Chinese made armor and did hear good things about japanese-armor.com but felt a little suspicious about almot all of their products have 5 star ratings. The customer service with Michael was 100 times better than I received from the actual Japanese website. Michael responded very quickly to all of my emails and with great detail + answered the phone when I called. The Japanese website I would sometimes have to send 2 or 3 emails until I heard back from them and it just didn’t make me feel comfortable sending thousands of dollars overseas to someone isn’t easy to contact.
I highly recommend Japanese-Armor.com (the word of a stanger, I know). They are lagit and their armor is just as good as the Japanese made in my opinion.
The armor gets 5 Stars and their customer service gets 5 Stars as well.
Thank you!
Fantastic quality and service. Armor is A+
