Yokohagi Okegawa Kachi Samurai Armor is an economical reproduction of a tosei (post 1550 modern) style yoroi (armor) featuring Yokohagi (horizontal) steel plating in the okegawa (tube side) fashion.  This style of armor became common after as the European influence grew in Sengoku era (warring state period) Japan.  This particular gusoku (matching samurai armor set) is crafted with kebiki-odoshi (full lace) on the sode (shoulder shields) and gessan (armored skirt).  It is pictures above with the hachi goshozan kabuto (victory mountain bowl helmet) with optional prominent byo toji (decorative rivets), giving it a strong, and fearsome appearance, as it had 400+ years ago when samurai warriors wore this style of armor on the battlefield.
