Child Samurai Armor sets have been used throughout the history of Japan. Traditionally displayed inside the homes of the samurai warrior class, particularly during the holiday “Tango no Sekku“, which is celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th month (May 5th) of each year. Tango no Sekku is known as “Boy’s Festival”, but is now known as “Children’s day”. Traditionally the child armor would be worn by young boys of the samurai’s family, then displayed in their home. It was to celebrate the courage and warrior spirit of the child. Now in Japan they celebrate all children and the armor is a symbol of having the character of a warrior. This particular samurai armor set is made for all children. The samurai armor costume is sized to fit most children from 6 to 10 years of age with chest size of 75 ~ 90 cm.
This Child’s Samurai Armor set is crafted by the Iron Mountain Armory while keeping armor detail, child’s comfort and economics for the parents in mind. We know samurai armor for kids should look great while being fun, safe and economical. The small armor set is made from detailed plastic, nylon and features velcro straps on the back to make it easy for your child to wear and adjust the samurai armor costume. This samurai armor costume set includes a dragon crest, helmet, sleeves, shoulders, adjustable chest, apron, shins, vest and shoes (1 size fits most). Armor sets are gold, black and red. Material patterns and colors might vary.
