Jabara-Fuse is a rope made from 2 or more threads twisted together, often making a “chevron” pattern. This flat rope is often used as a trim or “piping”, to partition and embellish the border between the egawa and the fukurin. Jabara-Fuse is also used to embellish the trim of clothing. Our jabara-fuse is of traditional design, pattern and 3mm width. Jabara-Fuse is sold in 5 meter lengths which is generally enough length needed for each section of armor, such as the suji-bachi kabuto or the do (cuirass) or haidate (armored apron). For a complete armor set we recommend ordering 15 meters, which should leave you with some extra left over, in case of mistakes or side projects. To order 15 meters, select quantity of 3 when ordering.
Iron Mountain Armory is happy to support the samurai armor restoration and DIY community by offering hard to find traditional materials.
