Môri Clan Taisho Samurai Armor is hand crafted in the quality you would expect from Iron Mountain Armory in honor of the Mori Clan. They were known for their military power on land and at sea, as well as their astute diplomacy, making them without equal. True masters at backing up their pen with a sword and navy! The success of the Môri Clan came from their skilled Taisho (commanders) who executed every command from their Daimyo. Leading and directing their Kumi-Gashira and Gashira Môri Clan samurai, who in-turn lead their Kachi samurai into battle. This effective form of command is what would help lead their clan to greatness.
The artisan Taisho katchû-shi are the pride of Iron Mountain Armory. They hand-craft each armor part with respect for the traditional ways of the katchû-shi of ancient times. Each piece of armor is crafted by hand with minimal use of modern tools or materials. These fine premium quality suits are among some of the most historically accurate gendai armor made today. This particular yoroi features a traditionally crafted 3 plate Hineno Zunari Bachi Kabuto, with Kiritsuke Iyozane (simulated scale) sode (shoulder guards) and kusazar. We are happy to customize the style of kabuto (helmet), menpo (mask) and suneate (shin guards). The standard colors of the Môri Clan Samurai Armor are “Shu” or red paint, with black lacing. Customize it however you like, including paints, laces, material and leather in multiple colors and styles.
