Muromachi Hishi-Toji Samurai Armor (cross knotted samurai armor set) was worn in combat by the high-ranking samurai during the late Muromachi – Sengoku Period. Our kachi class model is crafted with a Tosei Okegawa Ni-mai Do (hinged 2 piece breastplate) and is made from 14 individual steel armored plates that are hand laced together with odoshi (lace). Much like the Taisho & Gashira class Muromachi Hishi-Toji total assembly takes over 50 hours. The O-Sode (Shield like shoulder armor), features a colorful kebiki-odoshi style lacing (also referred to as “full lacing”) which our crafters are happy to custom color for you, in varying patterns or shapes. This colored lacing gives the armor a beautiful vibrant appearance, much like the classic samurai in the legends.
With this samurai armor set you can select between several different options. The armor plates can be requested to be crafted with a decorative copper trim called “fukurin”. Even the mon (clan symbol) of the maedate (helmet crest) can be customized upon your request via the “Kabuto Crest” option. As with all of our Kachi series samurai armor, the Muromachi Hishi-Toji is handmade using more economical materials and templates by our more basic katchû-shi (Japanese armor smith) here at Iron Mountain Armory for the most economical pricing. We offer many different customization options that our armor smiths are happy to do for you.
Please Note: Main lace is seen in Light Green. Second lace is seen in Dark Green. Bottom Lace Color is seen in Crimson. Mimi-Ito appears to be White.
